Blackjack 101 Lite is a basic strategy trainer. Users on the App store call it the best Blackjack trainer app out there.WARNING: This is *not* a Blackjack game, it its a practice aid for learning basic strategy in Blackjack, and it assumes you already are familiar with the rules of the game. Features: - Four learning modes: random hands, soft hands, pairs, and a custom mode: choose any combination of hands to practice (requires paid upgrade).- Customize the house rules: number of decks in the shoe, hit vs. stand on soft 17, doubling rules and surrender- Skill levels: Higher levels concentrate your training on the harder-to-memorize hands - Strategy guide shows all the best moves and highlights the strategy for the current hand and dealer card- Hint button shows a strategic analysis of the current hand- Left-handed and right-handed playing layouts - Many different rule configurations (1-4 decks, dealer hits/stays on soft 17, double after split, early/late surrender)

I’ve been playing blackjack for nearly 50 years and I know the game inside and out. I learned basic strategy the hard way, by rote. This is a wonderful visual application which not only gives you the opportunity to make a decision but the entire hand is played out and gives you several opportunities to hit or stand. It’s extremely realistic and highly recommended. Nobody should go anywhere near casino to play blackjack unless they can score almost 100% on this consistently over the course of 45 minutes or an hour. Don’t forget, at the table hours go by quickly and you need to be consistently playing properly in order to have any chance of winning at all.The lite app is free but limited in the number of hands you can play. It gives you a chance to see the value of what this software really does. I highly recommend that you go to the pro version and pay the very nominal fee that’s being asked to install it. Your bankroll at the casino will thank you

I used this app to help me memorize the book when it comes to playing with dealer hitting and standing on soft 17. Being able to improve my blackjack game really helps me keep the house odds as low as possible when playing at casinos (online and live alike!) now I can finally stop worrying about if it’s the right time to hit, stand, split, or double and just hope the cards fall in my favor while playing! I would like to see something like a house edge calculator built in where you can choose specific rules (like blackjack paying 6:5, if you can re-split A’s or not, etc.) and have it tell you the house edge on the particular games you have options to play but still 5-Star app in my book!

Best situational hand game for practicing the right play for each hand for basic strategy. If you can score the right hand 100 percent of the time your going to generate some bucks since your understanding of basic is pretty thorough. Combine that with counting cards accurately and bet spreads and you should come out ahead of the house most of the time. Bring down the house for a change and NEVER give them a nickel. Not ever. If you conscientiously stick with your training and practice it’s only a matter of time till you’ll have a decent side hustle. Never stop learning. Have a blessed day.

Blackjack Tips for Beginners

Memorizing the right way to hit, stand, split and double down your hand is a must, says gambling expert John Marchell. You’ll cut the house edge from 1 to 2 percent to 0.5 percent. Marchell offers this primer: Stand when your hand is 12-16 when the dealer has 2-6. Hit when your hand is 12-16 when the dealer has 7-Ace Always split Aces and 8s Double 11 versus the dealer’s 2-10 Hit or double Aces-6 Advertisement Bonus tip: Purchase a basic strategy card in the gift shop so you don’t have to memorize all this. Don’t play insurance Unless you’re counting cards don’t make this dumb move, which is essentially another new bet with new money based on whether the dealer has blackjack. “Overall, the house has almost a 6 percent advantage over the player with an insurance bet,” says Marchel. “And even if you have blackjack you will only win your original bet. If the dealer has a blackjack when you do, it’s a push—no win, no lose.” Check the dealer’s up card Before you take any action, check the dealer’s up card, says Marchel. Is it bad (2 through 6) or good (7 through Ace)? “What the dealer has makes all the difference on what action the player should take.” Advertisement Don’t sit in the first base seat Marchel recommends avoiding the first base chair in case the dealer is rushing. Sitting further down will give you more time to review your hand and the dealer’s up card. Start Small Don’t go firing on all four cylinders if you (or a new dealer) just arrived at the table. Start small to gauge the situation, i.e., whether the dealer is “hot” or “cold,” says Marchel. The casino never stops, but you do. “Hot and cold streaks can have a big effect on the player,” he warns. Don’t buy into gambler’s myths The decisions of other players at the table won’t impact your hand. You’re playing alone against the dealer, Scoblete says, and they don’t know what you have and vice versa. And blow off the guy who claims to be an expert. “Just smile and play the correct game, i.e, basic strategy,” says Scoblete. Advertisement Don’t get burned Set a cap for how much you’re OK with losing without limiting how much you can win, says Frank Scoblete, author of Beat Blackjack Now. Scoring “comps,” or casino freebies, isn’t worth blowing your monthly mortgage. “Numerous surveys over the years have found that 75 percent of players in a casino will be winning at some point, but only 4 percent go home a winner,” says Marchell. If you’re on a losing streak, move on. Don’t miss: We’ve figured out what New York scratch ticket has the best payout > Jill KrasnyEditor
